Refurbished Printers

There is a big difference between a “used” printer and a “refurbished” printer. Printers refurbished by INTERMAX, or sold by INTERMAX are backed up by our INTERMAX warranty against defects in parts and workmanship. We will not allow an inferior product to leave our warehouse. The refurbishing process means that we take the printer down (disassemble) to its lowest field maintainable point and build it back up replacing any mechanically worn components, making adjustments to belt tensions, shuttle phasing, print head alignment, and print quality as needed. Laser printers requiring maintenance kits get them and all feed rollers are replaced with new ones. Once the printer is reassembled and adjusted, it is tested locally and on-line to verify its print quality. When we are happy with the printer’s performance, it is cleaned and wrapped for shipping or local transport to the customer site. For added protection, get a castors-to-top cover (bumper to bumper for you used car sales people) INTERMAX Monthly Maintenance Contract [MMC] covering all components not considered supplies or miantenance kit items against failure, and repaired on-site by a real live INTERMAX Field Service Representative (FSR). Clients with MMC machines receive discounts on supplies, maintenance kits, print heads, and other work performed by INTERMAX Computer Associates, Inc.

In many cases, locally, we can provide a loaner printer, reasonably close in performance, while your printer is being given a new lease on life. Don’t want to wait for your old friend to be revived? We may be able to give you trade-in value for that old printer towards a new or refurbished unit purchased from INTERMAX.
